Perhaps there are others out there who will never forget the first time they heard a particular piece of music. For me, it is movement 2 of Ravel's String Quartet in F. The entire work places me in a trance, but this movement tends to reduce me to immobility.

I enjoy stories like this one; It is wonderful to know a classical piece can still transport people to the numinous.

There's a lot of different emotions tied up in that piece. Which I don't think I've ever heard until now. Thank you for sharing it.
I also see some interesting color patterns when I listen to it. But that's a different story.
